- what to keep in mind
Where are subsidies available?
Some naj m® estates are covered by rent subsidies. Thanks to the subsidies, the monthly cost of renting can be lower for up to several years. The subsidy is paid directly to the landlord, and the tenant simply pays a reduced rent.
Currently, residents of developments in the following cities can benefit from rent subsidies:
- Lublin, ul. Lubelskich Olimpijczyków,
- Katowice, ul. Korczaka,
- Elbląg, ul. Legionów,
- Skawina, ul. Skawińskich Sportowców.
If you are renting a flat in one of these developments, it is worth checking whether you meet the programme’s eligibility criteria.
Who can benefit from the subsidies?
To receive subsidies, you must:
- be renting a flat in one of the above naj m developments,
- meet the income criteria,
- submit a subsidy application at the municipal office.
Rent subsidies can bring measurable savings. The average subsidy amount is approximately PLN 500 per month, which means that over the entire duration of the programme a tenant can receive support with a total value of up to PLN 90,000. This is real, tangible assistance that can significantly reduce rental costs and boost the household budget.
What are the income limits?
Eligibility for subsidies depends on the household income. The limits are based on the number of people living together and running the household. The current maximum monthly household income is:
- 1 person – PLN 8,903.56,
- 2 people – PLN 12,464.98,
- 3 people – PLN 16,026.41,
- 4 people – PLN 19,587.83,
- 5 people – PLN 23,149.26,
- 6 people – PLN 26,710.68.
For larger households the limit is increased accordingly. The amount of the subsidy depends not only on income, but also on the number of people in the household and the parameters of the flat.
How to apply for a subsidy?
- Sign your tenancy agreement.
- Submit a subsidy application at the municipal office responsible for the location of your flat.
- Attach documents confirming the income of all household members.
- Wait for the decision on the granting of the subsidy.
What should you keep in mind?
- The subsidy application is submitted after signing the tenancy agreement.
- If the number of people in the household or the income situation changes, the municipal office must be notified.
- The subsidy does not exempt you from the obligation to pay rent and other charges related to the tenancy on time.
- If in doubt, it is worth contacting the property manager or the municipal office, who will help verify your entitlement to receive subsidies.
Rent subsidies can significantly reduce rental costs, so it is worth checking your eligibility and submitting an application as soon as possible after signing the tenancy agreement.
